Ski K2 Wayback 89 2025 — available in 160, 167, 174 and 181 cm — is the versatile all-mountain touring ski that balances lightweight uphill performance with confident downhill control. With an 89 mm waist, the Wayback 89 sits squarely in the sweet spot for ski touring and mixed-condition riding: narrow enough for efficient skinning and fast transitions, yet wide enough to deliver stability and flotation on softer snow. The profile combines a playful rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot to give you reliable edge hold on groomers and lively responsiveness when carving, plus easier turn initiation when the snow gets variable. Built for ski touring, the Wayback 89 favors a low-weight construction that reduces fatigue on long ascents without sacrificing a stable platform for descents. That means quicker climbs, better energy management, and more enjoyable, confident turns when you drop in.
This ski is ideal for day-touring, backcountry laps, and resort riders who want a capable uphill partner that still performs on piste. Use it for long skintracks, mixed snow approaches, boot-pack access, and fast resort laps where you value efficiency and agility. The Wayback 89 handles firm snow and chopped-up conditions with predictable edge grip, but its rockered tips also help in softer pockets and variable terrain. Pair it with alpine touring bindings or lightweight frame bindings to complete a setup optimized for uphill efficiency and secure downhill performance.
Practical touches include a balanced sidecut for nimble short-radius turns and stable long-arc charging, plus construction tuned to reduce swing weight for quicker maneuvering. Whether you’re a fitness-minded tourer chasing kilometers, a weekend backcountry explorer, or a resort rider who skins for the first run, the K2 Wayback 89 2025 offers a flexible, confidence-building ride. Choose your length (160–181 cm) based on weight, ability and preferred turn shape to unlock the ideal mix of float, edge grip and uphill efficiency.
